The M-DISC is the world's most unique, long-lasting and reliable

Storage medium that enables permanent data archiving. The M-DISC was the only disc to pass the US Department of Defense rigorous long-term archival testing.

Thanks to the patented, stone-like material, the data is literally engraved in the recording layer. Through this physical change of the medium, the stored contents can be archived for up to 1000 years.

The inorganic layer also ensures that during storage no special precautions must be taken, since there is no influence from temperature, humidity and sunlight.

BD-R M-DISC media can be read and written on all Blu-ray recorders.
