Taiyo Yuden an OEM producer of high quality optical storage media

The products of Taiyo Yuden have used, albeit unconsciously, every one of the optical storage media used before. Taiyo Yuden is one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality CD blanks, blank DVDs and Blu-ray blanks.
Since Taiyo Yuden, with the exception of the rather unknown own brand that's, is mainly active as an OEM supplier, the company's products are commercially available under other known names such as e.g. TDK, Verbatim, Fujifilm, JVC and many more.

CD blanks have been developed by Taiyo Yuden since 1985 and manufactured since 1988. In the course of the further development of optical storage media, DVD blanks and Blu-ray blanks were added to the product portfolio over the course of time. The company Taiyo Yuden was founded in March 1950 in Tokyo.

Both Blu-ray blanks and DVD blanks and CD blanks from Taiyo Yuden enjoy a good reputation when it comes to quality and longevity. Numerous in-house developments such as Duplicate-density CD blanks and DVD-blanks with increased writing speed have added to Taiyo Yuden's fame and reputation.
The most recent highlight in the field of optical storage media were Blu-ray blanks that could be described at four times the speed in the LTH (low to high) process.

In the meantime, however, only remnants of the CD blanks, DVD blanks and Blu-ray blanks from Taiyo Yuden are available on the market since the production of optical storage media was discontinued at the end of 2015 due to stagnation and price fights.

However, it is worthwhile to look for these, as the quality of the CD blanks, DVD blanks and Blu-ray blanks of Taiyo Yuden is outstanding and unparalleled on the market.

Recognizable are the media of Taiyo Yuden on the matte inner ring and on the printed wrapping film with which, unlike other manufacturers which use printed paper and clear film, they are packed.
